I would presume the same warning (found in the owners manual) would apply regardless of having or not having LC (launch control) programming. Its stressful to the car's components.

Update:
For anybody that is asking themselves the same thing that I did Here it's your answer I tried it cause I couldn't resist(about 2 weeks after my first post) You do something like a brake boost , I only did it once and I won't do it again because I don't want my car to break. On the B48 engine you don't get a "better" 0-60.It's not worth it Hope this comment helps anybody in the future that has the same question I did. |

Unless you get the Xhp tune, you’re going to just have to hold the brake and gas for a couple seconds, “brake boost” if you want to call it that. I would think that would put less stress on the drivetrain than if you were to launch it, but yeah, obviously there’s still going to be stresses from the torque regardless. My main concern about doing it is staying on the brake for too long (with throttle) and putting a lot of stress on the torque converter. FWIW my own rule-of-thumb is try not to sit there for longer than 2 or 3 seconds doing it the brake and throttle way. I feel like it’s a lot on the tq conv..
