Launch Control on the M40D

Resulting in a 0-60 time of 3.9 seconds!

This is with a DTUK tuning box on sport setting and I have to admit on a very slight decline but still I think it's very impressive for a near two tonne (metric) diesel SUV!

And even with doing 3 launch's and a bit of a play with sport plus mode in between, I've still managed to average 34mpg so far today!

1. Gear stick left
2. Sport or sport plus mode
3. Click DSC button to turn DTC on (don't hold it to turn DSC off)
4. Left foot really hard on brake
5. Accelerator all the way down past kick down, wait for checkered flag in cluster then release brakes.

Well, on a level road probably very low 4's, but I'm more than happy with that!

Does it work on the 30d as well or only m40?

Launch control on a diesel probably feels like your head is going to end up in the back seat. That must be one heck of a ride.

Christ sub 4s is no joke. Thats F8X pace and likely launching more reliably and repeatedly to get that.

Yes I can easily turn the box off with the Bluetooth phone app, I’ll try it 0-60 with the box off why I get a chance.

Insurance is up to you, it’s not a permanent mod, and it comes with a blanking plug to replace the box which can be fitted very quickly, so obviously I only use the box when not on the public highway.

Pardon the mild blasphemy but, Christ, that's nuts.

On the 80s supercar scale, that's Ferrari F40 speed.
But with half a tonne more weight and 3 times the MPG (not convinced F40 owners look at MPG, mind you).

Yes, but you have to have the "sport" variant of the gearbox, i.e. option code 205 is not enough.
Or I have actually not tried it in mine (with option 205), since I'm still riding with studded winter tires. :-) But this is how it has been for many models previously

Not to mention the 3 extra seats, huge boot and off roading ability!

Mind you, the F40 would still annihilate it around a track, obviously.

Those diesels are super quick off the line! I have seen a 0-60 on YouTube with quick 0-60, you need to get a dragy and get real measurements (if your measuring through Bluetooth then your speedo is higher then it should be and will result in faster times)
