Agreed with the statement above.
Remote 3D view is broken along with remote updates. You have to take the car to the dealership and have them update the software. Now that I have had the update completed the remote view works but there is not a option for remote update in the iDrive 7 settings menu, although the dealership said it only shows up when there is an update available. Considering I had to tell the dealership that there was even an issue and an update was available though, I do not know how much I can trust that statement either. |

For Oz at least my understanding is that the Oz spec sheet says we get “Remote Services” but details aren’t specified. So at this stage we have remote 3D (Nov iD7 build) and hopefully we get Remote software update and Maps if they can get it working out of Germany some time soon...

My connected drive had stopped working at all a few weeks earlier and I wanted the rear hatch lockout, so I took it in, asking for all fixes and updates. Now I have working Remote 3D View!

I am assuming that when bringing in the car for these updates. We have to ref lash bimmercode back to stock.

I didn't reflash back to stock but when I picked it up all my changes had been wiped out so I had to recode everything. The guys at the dealership didn't say anything about it either.

Just had my car in my local dealers. They have upgraded the software from July to November 2019 even tho the car was built in November this year. The 3D view works great now.

I stopped by the stealership and got a key scan which showed that there was an update available for my 2020 M40i but my service advisor said they won't bring it in for an update unless there is something wrong with the car. Also, my connected drive app hasn't received updated car info for about a week now. Does anybody know how to remove a car from the connected app and re-add?

My Connected drive failed to connect since 11/22/19. I rolled my BimmerCode changes back. eSys coded Anti-Glare back on. Re-applied BimmerCode tweaks. Now is working again. Go figure. Remote View still fails.

Did you have to make any changes to the Connected App on your phone or did it automatically start working again after reverting BimmerCode changes?

I made an appointment with my local dealership for next week, for an Idrive update. We will see what the outcome is and how simple or not the update request will be.

My (UK) dealer/service centre is telling me the Nov update to ID7 will likely take 5-7 hours; it often fails and the tech support team from Germany has to step in for remote troubleshooting. What has others' experience been like- a simple update within an hour or so, or a more painful experience?
