I emailed them to see if a V2 splitter would be coming, but they said there's no plans. Shame as I prefer both the F25 & F26 ones: |

Hi All,
New to the forums after recently picking up a 2018 X3 M40i. Loving it so far! Random question -- I have a tow hitch currently installed and really never see myself towing anything. I am considering removing the tow hitch and installing an after market diffuser. Does anyone know if this is possible? Not sure if the factory installed tow hitch has a different set up than a normal diffuser would? Or if it's as easy a removing the current diffuser and tow hitch and snapping on a new one? |

I'm heavily debating on removing the trailer hitch, but I would need to get all the original parts in order to buy a diffuser. I'm debating on a few options but would like to get a new setup. It's hard to judge on these pictures, but does anyone thing with some cutting of the center part I can fit the oem trailer hitch? The connector I would mount behind the diffuser and only have the hitch exposed. Any thoughts would be great.

Somewhat unrelated, but has anyone just wrapped the lower portion of the rear bumper in gloss black? My car is Dark Graphite, and it’s very similar to the stock color of the lower rear bumper. I think it would go well with everything else that’s gloss black (I’ve done a full cerium delete to gloss black) and provide some contrast to the rear end. This may also lead me to be willing to add back the badges in gloss black from IND (currently debadged) and do a rear deflector delete. I haven’t done the reflectors as of now as I feel the rear end would be too mundane as is. My car is also a lease, so everything I do has that in mind.
