I would have loved to have a flamenco red BMW SUV but my other half says the colour reminds her too much of period blood.

Yes, it is how it was built, no modifications. Here in the UK the M Sports Plus package includes "BMW Individual high-gloss Shadow Line with extended contents" option, which replaces all Cerium Grey exterior details with high-gloss black. Love it!

Agreed, my dealer said the same. I have the same color, but Tartfuro & CF. massive dealer and half the sales floor gathered to check it out the day I picked it up. I was hesitant on the order since i hadn't seen many in the wild, but really enjoy the combo and way more compliments than the entirety of time I owned my X5.

As I mentioned I have the Cognac with the Flamenco Red, and I also have the CF trim. I was able to see the color combo about 6 months before I ordered it on a different dealers demo car. I have not seen another one since. My CA was so excited when it arrived he took a picture for the dealers facebook page.

No, it is all true, actually. This red X4 M40i is definitely more expensive to insure than our previous silver Ford Focus 1.8. Although, there might be other contributing factors too.

As for going incognito, not a chance. This car turns heads all this time.

I totally agree . I have a 2020X4 M40 in Flamenco Red with Cognac and CF. The insurance is about $100 more per year than my 2017 440 Coupe which was White on Red

Great choice, I too have the same colour and trim, you are right the red stitching with black goes well with the red.

There wasn't any option for the black instead of the cerium when I bought mine last May, I keep thinking about changing it, seeing yours has made me want to do it even more now.

Need to find someone in UK down Oxford way that would swap out all the cerium.

I like the colour coded mirror caps, I wonder if you can buy them as after market if they are now available to order new?

I like the colour coded mirror caps too, don't know thy some prefer to replace them with black. The lower part is black anyway, which goes very well with the overall theme. Hope you find these parts!

HK is good, I have over 1,000 flac albums in the car. I have the usual eq setup folks use. You might be surprised at my original reluctance as my pastime is being a hifi reviewer. The car is so much more refined than the F25 that the HK is worth it. I also bought a TT with their Bose system...

All the kit is fun to play with for sure!
