Before I give up on the small carplay screen display, I would like to know if I can make the right blank part of the screen display something else. Maybe media album art or a map from the native navigation system. I tried fishing around and got nowhere. Maybe even some weather info or a clock face. Below is a post that shows what I am looking for.

You can do that exact thing in fact. All you need to do is press the option button on the idrive controller and turn on split screen. You can then choose what you want displayed like album art or the factory map. Hope this helps!

Looking to apply the fullscreen Carplay to my 2019 X4 (USA). Car was recently upgraded with the new backup camera recall update. Software version is: NBTevo_S19332I. Is this possible to do?

I got this coded by kubax86 from this forum on my 007.005.013 and NBTevo_S software. This and the Anti-Dazzle & VLD decode are the best money I have ever spend on this car. It gives you a larger view of the google map so you can better know what's the route ahead, and it's a pleasure to look at. It makes you feel like getting a bigger screen, LOL.
My old laptop caused a lot of problems and waste for about one hour at first. kubax86 was very patient, and everything went smoothly after I reinstalled the Windows10 the other day.

Is it possible to get the full screen CarPlay feature on a 2020 X3M Competition with iDrive 6.0 or is it only on iDrive 7.0 models? Car was just update during break in service but I still haven't been able to figure out how to code and/or enable the full screen CarPlay like on my wife's X7

It's iDrive 6 so you'd need to get it patched/coded like others on the thread have been doing in order to enable full screen.

Just picked up a 2020 X3 sDrive30i this weekend and learned (despite confirming Apple CarPlay integration, and that BMW is no longer charging for it) that CarPlay isn't full screen?!?! I've read through the thread and understand the process for updating, but could someone please tell me who to buy the patch from? I see several sellers on Ebay - any recommendations?

I'm boggled by this - my VW Atlas had perfect CarPlay integration and I'm starting to regret "trading up" to this car! Thanks.
