HI!

I am starting to look at 2017 X3's. I've seen certain X3's that have, what I would describe, as a "blacked out instrument panel".

TO explain.....when the car is off, you really can't see the speedometer or the tachometer and maybe some other things. When you turn the car on, it all lights up.

I am wondering if it's a certain version, or a certain package. I am thinking that it might be the Technology Package, because is says something about "extended instruments".

In any event....I think it's super COOL looking. I think that the X1 had it standard starting in mid-2018.
Of course the new panel on the 2018-present X3's is also very neat.

Any help would be appreciated!!

it's called 6WA extended instrument cluster.

You are correct, sir. The 6WA instrument cluster is part of the technology package. At least it was on my 2016.
