New guy in town, South Jersey. Bought my x3 M40i back in December, but I just joined here a week or so ago.

This is my first BMW. Came from a 2018 STI, and never looked back!

Looking forward to exploring around here for some great ideas, tips, and tricks!

First up for me will be a tune and possibly a down pipe as well. I'm going to do some digging to see what I can learn on here about the different options. I'm thinking of going with BM3 at this point. Not sure about the down pipe, but I haven't done much research yet.

I look forward to reading through everyone's experiences with these great machines.

Now a couple pics I shot today after a wash. Not a great photographer by any means

Nice! Welcome.

I looked into down pipe briefly. I don't like the reports of odor from the catless models. Not sure I care enough for catted (and I saw some issues).

I have the JB4 and love it. That and a drop in K&N. M40i was fast.. now even faster. Not sure what the down pipe would really add that I'm missing.

Thanks for the info! I'll be looking into the jb4 for sure

I don't think so. The only thing would be blacking out the grills vents and mirrors, but I have no immediate plans for that. I want to do some go fast goodies first.

I couldn't get into it. I only had it for maybe a year before I got rid of it. I was an evo guy, had 2 of them over the years. One of them I fully built and one was stock. The STI was just not close in my opinion. The evo was a machine. The STI was a bit soft for my taste. Now I'm old and the M40i will do until it doesn't lol.
