The vehicles must have come equipped with the optional M badged-up interior package, but you have to pay $1,200 for BMW to activate the M badges (a/k/a peel off electrical tape). Don’t fret though because the option can be activated at local dealerships.

I agree it's awful, and I would never get an M2 comp because of it.

Same. This is the biggest let down for me. It scratches easily and shows fingerprints and dust in no time! Otherwise, I dig the interior. Especially the Sakhir.

I really dislike the use of the red buttons nowadays. It just doesn't look good with the interiors (some more so than others) and gives it a "raceresque" type feel.

Coming from someone who hates coral red... this Sakhir orange interior actually looks pretty good! But it wouldn't age well.

age well? how long are you planning on keeping the car, lol. I've had my M3 and now M4 'vert with Sakhir Orange interior and still like it. heck, my X3M will probably have the SO interior. that'll be 9 straight years with SO, lol

It's like Nardo grey. Great colour but will never become a classic like standard colours, and people will grow to dislike it in the future. But yes I'm talking 20 30 years from now!

Funny to read your comments guys. When the F26 M40i came out, the M3/M4 Community laughed at the car's sound. It wasn't good enough in their minds. Now this is the opposite.

But I confirm, the F26 M40i sound is gorgeous.

My concern too... I am saying that the current models X3/4 M40i have a boring sound (at least the German versions) compared to my previous model X4 M40i that I still have. I am considering to order new X4 M Comp. but I wanna wait for a first test to hear the sound. It will be released in Germany in September, I guess in the US before... so if any one gets the chance to post a test drive… much appreciated!!!

I have both, X4 M40i MY 2017 and M3 Comp., and I must say, that the X4 M40i sounds even better, especially from outside

Hallo Jamesblond1001, most of people who ask me, doesn't believe it is stock exhaust and stock sound. Every morning I start it up (of course in Sport mode), a huge smile shows on my face. 3 years old 145'000km just a great car.

I will be devastated if my new X4M Comp doesn’t sound better. I honestly don’t know I’d be ok with anything less and not hearing that deep sound every morning. I literally made the decision to purchase when I pressed start during the test drive. Everything after that was just for shits and giggles!

Anyone have feedback on the s58 and/or the X4m comp exhaust. The anticipation is killin me!
