How screwed am I...?
Just bought a 2007 3.0si with 100k miles on it after having a very faithful 2005 3.0i. Everything looks really nice!
That is until I noticed a small puddle of coolant under the car. I thought, okay that's fine, I can probably fix that. So I go to investigate where the leak is coming from, and when I am taking the bottom plastic guard off, I find a large sheared bolt... I looked around for where it came from, and it looks like it's from the engine mount. I'm not an expert, but I know this is not how it's supposed to look.... How fixable is this? |

Find someone who can try an easy-out on the broken bolt. They drill a small hole in the bolt, then tap a reverse thread in it and unscrew it that way. If that fails, the old broken bolt can be drilled out and you can fit a helicoil, or you can cut new thread and use a thicker bolt. Some labour required on all these options, but very fixable.
