FWIW, I also don't have the checkbox but could swear it was there when I first set up profiles. Maybe deleting the profiles will restore the option? |

I saved my profiles before coding and was able to restore. What I noticed was that only the profile that was active while coding lost its presets.
So it may not be necessary to export to USB. Instead, activate Guest Mode before coding and then the other profile presets should not get wiped. Can someone confirm this? |

First Time BMW Owner...
Just coded what seems to be the usual items. Thanks to everyone for all the information and tips on coding. Things went well, just had to be sitting in the car with the iPhone and keys to reliably connect. Using the OBDLinkMX+ bluetooth adapter. Had the iPhone in Airplane Mode and Apple CarPlay turned off. Items Coded: Engine Control Unit ASS -Auto Start Stop Function Memory: Active Headunit (HU_NBT_EVO) VIM Video in Motion -ON Video Codecs -ON Radio Volume Display -OFF Audio: Max volume at startup -> 40% Display full text messages: Active Video via USB: Active Additional video codecs and formats: Active Video in motion: Active Warning at start-up (Disclaimer Prompt): Not Active Camera warning: Not Active Advanced Crash Safety Module (ACSM_5) Seat belt reminder driver seat: Not active |

De-activate Startup Chimes?
Sorry if this has already been asked and answered-
Did some coding and was able to turn off most of the warnings I disliked. But looking through all the ECUs, I couldn't see any way in Bimmercode to turn off the four Startup Chimes that occur when you first start the engine. Is this not possible, is it only possible using Expert Mode, or have I missed something obvious in BimmerCode? Thanks in advance for any tips/info. |

In post #1632, I attached an Excel file with all codeable items and the corresponding comments (to the extent they are available in E-Sys) in the NBT Evo head unit. That file did not include the default coded values. I have included them now in the attachment. My car has Harman Kardon audio and the premium and executive packages (but no wireless charging), so your values may be different.

As promised, attached are the coding options from the body domain controller. Sorry it took so long. I had a client deliverable last Friday (and have another one on September 11). I have a bunch more ECUs extracted. I'll post them tomorrow.

P.S. let us know if you find anymore goodies on the Russian forums EDIT: upon closer inspection, mine looks different to yours? Did you change any other setting there? |

The difference is probably just Sport Plus vs Sport Individual.

All,
Since coding Alpina and a few other things (which I have tried rolling back, re-coding etc, I am still unable to tick the check box that allows automatic time setting. It is doing my head in. BimmerCode Support suggested re-coding headunit and instrument cluster, but hasn't changed. I was wondering if there is a checkbox enable setting in expert settings. I wondered whether it was this one in HU_NBT_Evo: HU_NBT2 3000 HMI 113 SETTINGS_TIME_AUTOMATIC online [01] Kommentar=Steuert die automatische Zeiteinstellung in der MMI ab 07/13

Is there any way I can get the speed to display digitally in comfort mode similarly to the way it does in sport?
