I did throw my E39 M5 to detailer yesterday... He just sent few pics after his work was done
Picking the shitbox<tm> tomorrow... Very tempted to see it again in condition what it deserves.

LOL I was by there last night at about 9 on my way home from Montreal. I didn't stop for a photo. It was near the end of a long drive and bed was calling.

How was Jazz Fest?

The Festival was great. I'm waiting to get screen shots from the videos my friend made. Also, the food at Station 6 was awesome.

Impatiently Awaiting my first BMW - A X3 M40i

I started out at a Ford dealership with a deposit on a Cyber Orange Mustang and ended up at a BMW Dealership with a deposit on an Aventurine Red X3 M40i with Cognac Vernasca leather and Carbon Fiber trim. Opted for the 19" rft. We rented an X3 on vacation a few years ago and I loved it. My previous ride is a Ford F-150 Crew Cab.

Order Accepted 4/28
Production Date 6/30

Texted SA because I saw my car online and it's been stuck "at the port" for the better part of a week…only it wasn't there, it's already on its way from VPC!

Cool! I look forward to seeing the photos, if they're suitable for posting that is.

Now you're just teasing me about Station 6. I'll get there someday.

Are Spartanburg vehicles sent to the West Coast via ship? I thought they were transported on trucks or by rail.

In this case, I believe the use the term "port" in the generic sense because this went by rail.

Plant Spartanburg will ship cars by truck or rail. They have railroad tracks at the plant for them to easily load up train cars with new Xs. Anybody who has a car going west will stay on the train. Anyone who has a car going to the Mid atlantic area will be on truck. Cars being exported mostly go to the Port of Charleston where they are loaded on ships. There are some instances where cars will be exported out of Savannah or Miami.

This was actually one of the questions asked on my plant tour a few months ago. If only I paid such attention to everything in school like I did on my BMW plant tour

And in the case of Northern California, your car is unloaded to a truck at the Port of Richmond.
