They should have probably anticipated that, as nearly every spring kit with coils wound that close together requires isolators, but hey better late than never.

My suspension noise is completely gone after installing the isolators (ie like stock now)
Now if Dinan could figure out how to fix the exhaust flap rattle I'd be an even happier camper....

I'm still debating on... H&R or DINAN springs in the near future. Hope someone does a spring rate comparison too at a lab to see which one would offer more control and composure on our F97 SAV's.

Considering the Dinan springs are stiffer, they will provide the best performance. In terms of ride quality, the Dinan kit feels no different than stock and the stock ride is fine in my opinion. The H&R springs will soften up the ride and make it more comfortable. The gain from a lower center of gravity with the H&R springs is most likely negated by the lost performance from the softer spring rates. The Dinan springs will benefit from a lower center of gravity and a more aggressive spring rate.

NEW RELEASE: Dinan BMW F9x X3M/X4M Springs/Bumpstops & Monoballs
H&R claims improved handling and "superb ride comfort" with .2" more drop in the front than Dinan. As far as just a spring swap I don't think there will be a discernible difference. Dinan offers bumpstops which I'm sure you could use with h&r if you decide to go that route

Thats why buying spring is often a pain in the ass. All manufacturers just say ImPrOvEd HaNdLiNg!1 but they rarely divulgate spring rate or stiffness. At least we know Dinan is 20% stiffer.

Installed the sleeves yesterday and could see where the close coils were touching.
I went for a short drive today and I tried my hardest to hear noise but it is silent now. The car is so much more enjoyable with the coil sleeves, 10/10. |

Simply wondering why the German made H&R still wouldn't be as good at the DINAN set. Not necessarily asking you directly. Just trying to determine which set of spring is actually stiffer offering more composure & agility under all circumstances. I'm German so we like to know the exact specifics in numbers! LOL

For comparison. My alpine white with Dinan springs. Phytonic blue stock suspension.
