It is possible. You can do it. I do not do remote coding myself. PM sent.

Again on Esys 3.30.1 and on the "free" version of the LauncherPro 2.8.1 by TM:
I've got my Istep updated by BMW to the F025-23-07-530 version due to the recall about the egr leaks issue on B47 engine. Now I must apply back the tons of codings I've made in the past 2 years Can I use the version of esys I have withount any problems of mapping data (I'm getting the newest PSDZdata) or I must update to the latest versions and use a new launcher (like B.U. or whathever)? And if my esys&luancher versions still working for my actual car, starting from which chassis/year will those sw needs to be updated? Thanks to anyone who can give a final verdict on the LauncherPro2.8.1 era |

New member here.. appreciate some advice!
I’ve got a 2012 F25 X3. PDCs stopped working and after checking all wiring and sensors it seems the JBE module was at fault (ISTA seemed to agree). So I now have a second hand replacement JBE module. Fitted to the car and it works, but features such as heated seats, auto wipe etc aren’t working. I assume this is because the car the JBE came from didn’t have these. ISTA is also telling me the module isn’t coded to the car. My understanding is that I need to code the new module to the car, which I can do with E-SYS using the process Shawn has written in quite a few posts; Connect => Read FA (VO) => Activate FA (VO) => Read SVT (VCM) => Left-Click on desired FEM_BODY => Click on "Detect CAF for SWE" => Select the CAFD from latest I-Level shown => Select OK => Right-Click on FEM_BODY (the ECU itself not the underlying CAFD) => Select CODE. From what I understand, the VO of the car will have the info needed to code the module but my question is with ‘injecting the CAFD’. As it’s a replacement module the CAFD will be from the old car, so where does the CAFD I need to ‘inject’ actually come from – is this from data on board the car or does it come from within E-SYS (or is this why you need PSdZData?). Basically – when I do this step…. Will the CAFD I need to select already be stored on the car or do I need to pull it from somewhere else and have it on my laptop? Or, as the JBE is from an identical MY car model, can I just code it without injecting a CAFD? Thanks!! Last edited by Matt_BX3; 01-10-2024 at 02:52 AM.. |
