Thank you! Yeah, the color choice really payed off this time! I'm a big fan of black and white cars, but this color really lays well in my sight.

+1 the new X5 lost its gorgeous proportions. too big now. It is well designed but the proportions are all wrong. Bmw design team, despite all that has been said, was way better, more exciting and worked better with proportions under Mr Bangle.
why the X4 instead of a Macan? I considered the X4 to replace my X3 but the Macan is just on another level - and the 4 pot engines will probably cost the same as the 3.0 diesel. I would rather loose some poonies and have the macan luxury and dynamics. Why the X4? |

I can't really answer completely for my father on the matter of the choice over the x4 over the porsche macan. But if I may think about it, he has always liked the x6, but thought it's a bit to big for him, and also a bit to expensive. Therefore the x4 was a perfect "compromise", smaller, more economic and a bit prettier. Also a reason could be that the porsche stings more in the eyes of people. See, in Sweden, socialism has ruled a bit to long which has caused a mentality that it's not always appreciated to show that you're successful and can buy a nice car, for example. The x4 doesn't stand out that much. Thats what I think at least. |

We will soon have BMW sorted - i.e the importers:
-M badge outside in Europe - not US. -Finland and Switzerland (?): mandatory roofrails -US and Sweden: mandatory run flats - no so in Germany. -US: no-good all-seasons as STD. Steering precision? I will, however, cheat and by winterwheels from outside source - at half price. It is possible to have tirepressure sensors (pirate), that will- after calibration - work on the vehicle, but I don`t think I will bother. |

About winterwheels, I will wait if I can get some reasonable price from my dealer for 17" set. One reason is those tirepressure sensors, I would hope that bmw ones atleast should work with the car. |

TurboT: I am going to buy AEZ 18" Yachts rims and Conti, Nokian or Pirelli Ice (new from last winter) with studs. All with STD design - not runflats. Cost about 50% of BMW original run flats.
There are pirate tirepressure sensors from major suppliers (one of them suppling to X4) , that can be calibrated for the X4 wireless system. Cost about 70% of original sensors. |

Thats a shame. but I get where you come from... I myself dont like that much to grab any attention so the X3 was ok for me but with current sales of the Macan I thought that pretty soon we will see so many in the streets that it wont matter. with that said when I take out my red E9 csi... btw the X4 does look good, love the msport rear bumper hate the front. In regards to bmw design I think that current bmw's have better sheet metal details, better design but the overall proportions just dont work - take the 5 ser GT. the headlight, the side panels are way better designed that on the reg 5 ser but the propertions are all wrong. Same for the new X5. better design but proportions ruin them. But I do miss the individuality of each model and to me the 7 was and is an utopian design, specially the interior. I think they are missunderstood. I love the current 7, specially the sholder line and the interior but I cant sell my seven. |

Have to say that the rear of the x4 appeals me more than the front, it's just so fluid. Everything is really sharp, but at the same time smooth, truly awesome! |
