Just went to Icar drag strip today for the first time with the x3m40i.
I have BMS intake and Jb4 map 5 with 94 octane. Turned off all BMW drivers assistance. First run I did 12.3 in sports plus with launch control. Second run I did 13.1 in eco pro mode with traction on and no launch control. I'm surprised of the results! For a SAV this is pretty quick. Draggy says I did 0-100kmh in 4.3 so the 0-60 would be around 4.1! I also managed to do 0-60 in 3.99 with dragy gps measurements! The biggest issue with this car is the heat, it gets slower after a few runs. Also the tires lose traction! |

Ughhh....you just broke my 12.48@107.
I think I have a lot left in mine but fighting 100+ temp and 80-90% humidity right now. My 0-60 is 4.15 on both map 3 and 5. The 1/4 mile falls off to 12.77 on Map 3. I require 96 octane in these temperatures. For the record, my times are via Dragy but I have run Dragy simultaneously with running at drag strip in my AMG and it has been dead on each time. I do spin all 4 wheels at take off when testing on the street. These SAVs amaze me at their price point. There are very few cars on the street that I am not willing to take a shot at. |

What map do you prefer 3 or 5? What's the difference? I find 3 is a little too jerky for daily driving. For wheel spin, I plan on getting better tires. I'm sure I can go into the 12.2 territory with better tires! |

When I am on 93 octane pump gas for day to day driving, I use map 1-2. On the days I am "hunting" I bump to 96 and run Map 5. Yes, I let boost build during launch control but I am on the street not the track. |

First wow , congrats man, I wish I was there tonight, could have been a m40 face off.
I've got a few questions since I cant get below 12.5 with 94 and same mods 1-How full was the tank 2- how much do you weight (yourself, I'm fat) 3- are you completely turning off traction control or putting it in DSC mode?

Would of been great if you were there too!! Do you boost your turbo before launching? With the auto 8zf, it seems you can boost more if you wait longer in launch control mode. Also, this was my first run when my engine was cooler. I find the b58 heat soaks fast. 1-I had 1/4 tank. 2-I weight 165 pounds. 3-no I just pressed once the dsc button, if it's all off, then you lose launch control. But I turned Bmw safe collision sensors all off. Also, I don't have the roof racks and I didn't have a passenger! |

I highly recommend using 100oct with map5. The difference is so overwhelming that you will notice it from the get go. Don’t believe me, just do it and be amazed. I’m planning a visit to the drag strip as soon as I can to put numbers down. It would be very cool because you could compare the differences. I also highly recommend connecting the Electronic Waste Gate cable for better results.

100 octane here is $10US/gal. I mix 93 and 100 for a 96 ratio. This is me on Map 5. I could see where meth injection would bring down my trims but my timing is still rising the entire run so octane looks good. |

I am certain there are real race cars in Canada or a race track? I just run to a nearby race track and get mine so look at that or find a shop that sponsors a race car and they should have a 55 gallon drum and they would likely sell you 5 gallons. |

New record!
Just beat my previous record! 12.315@110.45mph! Only jb4 and billet intake with 94 octane gas. The temperature helped!
