Does anyone know, if the 12V socket in the trunk is standard? Or is storage compartment/extended storage package needed?

This is for AU: I didn't add anything and extended storage is not mentioned on my quote/order, but in a VIN decode:

S493A Storage compartment package

So seems we got it as a country default at least.

Thanks. Yes, it can also be part of some package/line too. M4Oi gets it as a standard worldwide I think.

Not standard in UK across all X3 models, might be in some specs / engine sizes.

I have M Sport 2.0D and don’t have it.

In the UK it is part of the extended storage pack option on all models @ £300 or also included in the comfort package

Have to correct myself, found a picture of a UK base spec car with no storage pack that had a 12v socket in boot so looks like it is standard
