X4 M40i - Whistle when engine running

Hello,

I own an X4 m40i (fully stock) and I experienced an issue recently, when engine running there is a sorta of whistle that looks like radio interferences, when I stop the engine the whistle slowly stops. (No difference if AC on or off)

It looks like it comes from driver's side. I removed the air intake in case it was a leak but nothing changes. The only error code I have is the xAuc sensor (AC) that throw an error code.

Here is the video :

Anyone has an idea ?

Thanks !

Can you hear it from the outside as well, or just the inside?

Sounds like the noise an amplifier would make on an aftermarket radio, honestly. Especially if the pitch seems to follow the revs.

Is the ventilation system on? Maybe a fan going bad. If you hear it outside also, it is at the front or rear of the car? If at rear maybe fuel pump?

May be a small leak in the AC system. That would explain why it gradually quiets when the engine is off. AC system is not building pressure when the engine is off, so all pressure leaks out and eventually equals out.
