"Instrument Panel" vs "Dashboard"

Just been into my Dealer. Salesman had a memo explaining that the Sensatec issue is "global" and that it would be Q3 before it would be available? Consequently I can't get the black leather seats with the blue contrast stitching. It was the seats that I wanted rather than the instrument panel, but they can't be separated in the UK, on a M Sport. Instead, despite the BMW UK webpage telling you that the M Sport has "added sporty flair" with the black/blue seats - you won't get them til Q3/4 2018.

Love the car so much I am going ahead with the purchase ( black leather seats with oyster stitching ), and have added a couple of options in lieu of the removal of the Sensatec (£450 refund) but am seriously pissed off that BMW actually promote the M Sport model with the black/blue seats, and so early in the cars existence there is a delivery problem.

10/10 for dealer service, 5/10 for BMW in terms of making available what they are promoting!

That has got to be frustrating no one would have expected this. Now I know why my CA always acted like he didn’t hear me when I talked about ordering a vehicle. The disappointment of settling for Sapphire/Fineline over Graphite/Poplar has faded away but the sensatec dash feature, once accustomed to it, would be hard to give up.

Last week I spoke with my SA (the Netjerlands) over here and they did NOT receive any message that Sensatec dash was not possible. Tomorrow I will call them again to verify. Keeping my fingers crossed...

Just got of the phone with my SA in the Netherlands.
Estimated delivery date of our X3 is still week 12, it’s on status 111 at the moment.
For new orders with sensatec dash upgrade production could be delayed.
