Mine is 2011 F25 with N52 engine (170,000 km).
VCG has been replaced at 160,000 km.
Oil pan gasket needs to be changed.
I am a DIY guy and I do many regular maintenance jobs in summer because it is very brutal in winter in Canada.
I won't do Oil pan gasket job and probably try this product to see if it works or not.

LIQUI MOLY MOTOR OIL SAVER (https://germanparts.ca/parts/02302ml...l-saver-300ml/)

It's very affordable and I think it's worth to try.

Jobs done so far are not really bad but it took lots of time.
1. VC Gasket
2. Oil Housing and cooler gasket
3. Serpentine Belt & tensioner
4. Alternator
5. Spark Plugs
6. Front Shocks

Next is to replace front coil springs which was broken yesterday. I guess I should have done it with shocks.

Very impressive!!
I managed to do #5 on my own, #1 was pain in the ass when I attempted with a friend back in November, so damn cold here in Toronto. #2, I paid a shop to do it with my parts. my next service will be oil pan gasket($900 labour) and tranny fluid/filter(labour $120), both with my own parts at BMWizard in Vaughan, long drive but worth it. I'm at 105,000km, based on your list, I might add #3 to my list.

Any advice on replacing the front struts? or maybe you already posted it and I missed it.

I am but until its sold, I'll still be driving it. After just replacing the rears, I might replace the fronts too. Gotta do something during lockdown

Gotcha. I replaced one of my front struts a few months ago. Curb jumped out when my wife was driving and bent a wheel, control arm and strut. Not too hard. Normally a spring compressor is needed on each side of the spring to install. For some reason I needed 3 but got it done.

I've rebuilt the front end of my 840 a few years back, dealing with those springs was a fearful job For the rears on my X3, I was able to find a set pre-assembled but so far cannot find them like that for the front.

Isn't it strange how curbs and other stationary objects can become animated? Same thing happened to my wife this past winter. It was icy and the curb slipped out into the lane she was driving in.

It happens in our house too, walls move into your path, the floor raises causing a stumble, what the heck is going on?

Got back from the local shop. Replaced whole valve cover (since PCV test failed), spark plug ( only paid for parts, no labor here), and oil pan gasket. The parts are close to 1000 ( valve cover 550, spark plug 150, bolt/vent hose/cover seal/flange gasket/oil pan gasket etc 200). Labor 1250 ( for valve cover and oil pan gasket, 12 hours). Total 2200. I guess if 1200 labor can be saved if DIY. Unfortunately I'm not hands on for this kinds of repairs...

100 bucks an hour for labor, that's an amazingly low rate. Good luck going forward!

Think of it this way, you now have a limited warranty on the work which you would not of had if you did it yourself. What's done is done and if it corrected the issues and gave you a warranty, all is good. If you are happy with the whole experience dealing with the shop, then you now have a place to go for future work if required.
