I just bought this exact setup today, was debating if a high flow cat would make a difference to it as well...

The Dinan muffler with Dinan x-pipe gives a deeper tone and growl. Sounds very Motorsport to me. It's overall louder than stock in all scenarios but tolerably so during daily applications.

Awesome, I think I will purchase both and run that setup. I really like the sound from what I've heard so far

Did you install your x-pipe? If so, what do you think?

Got it back and while I didn't get much seat time yet (30 minutes in traffic) here are my initial thoughts with Dinan X-pipe + Stock LCI Competition Exhaust:
  • Loud(er) then before but not obnoxious
  • Way more burbles & pops in Sport+
  • Tone seems slightly more aggressive but haven't WOT yet to fully judge
  • No rasp/drone

Note: I also have ASD disabled via BimmerCode. Prior to the X-pipe, the noise from the rear was less then the front (IMO engine noise increased a bit from the Dinan CAI(). I feel it has evened out now to my ears.

Thanks very much for this feedback... I'm debating whether or not to x-pipe!
