My bmw app not connecting to X3 M40i

Hi all, I'm having an issue connecting my new car to the my bmw app. After entering the vin, it is telling me that the vehicle is unsupported and to connect the USB. I attached two images of my point of view. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Our cars are twins haha.

Did your dealer set up the initial ESA to have the car registered to your account when you took delivery?

I had the same issue after delivery. It took a day for the registration to be completed.

You can call or email BMW assist and they should be able to help.
