From my experience, over 82-83°F outside, the AC is not cold at all. ''cool'' indeed.
My ac system have been checked, and its all fine. Just not enough capacity for 2 people + 2 kids + black car with a huge sun roof. |

Maybe time to see Mr Mechanic; if you can't spot anything obvious- obstructed air flow across condenser, etc. then best left to pro with proper evac/fill/leak test equipment. Systems are closed/sealed but they can still leak Freon over many years-
Good luck Bill |

low pressure side on my other car is 25psi min and around 40psi max. I was @21psi, compressor wont kick in. Found the leak and fix it. Sometimes cars got slow leak, like 1 psi lost every 2year, so top off could just be fine. Having low pressure , can also make the compressor goes on/off very often, which can result indeed in higher cabin temperature. Having a clean filter, clean evaporator is probably the only easy way to get the best performance. X3 ac system is nothing near impressive. Fine for me since its winter 6 month a year here |
