Rear windshield tint and auto-dim mirrors

Hey all. Thinking about getting my rear windows, including rear windshield, tinted over the factory privacy glass to help block out heat etc this summer.

I have a few questions about this. Does tinting the rear windshield affects the auto-dim rearview and driver side view mirrors? How dark can you tint over the factory privacy glass while keeping the auto-dim mirrors working?

Any and all pics of tint over rear privacy glass, especially inside looking out. Thanks!

I don't think tinting rear windows has any effect on the dimming. Sensor for the side mirror and rear view mirror is located under the rear view mirror. People reported issues with dimming instrument and panel and central display when the front windows were tinted.

I was thinking it would because tinting the rear windshield allows less light from the rear to hit the sensor in the mirror, thereby potentially reducing the dimming affect? But maybe I'm wrong!

Any other feedback from those with tinted rear windshields?

How dark did you go and do your auto-dim mirrors still dim bright headlights in your mirror at night?
