Very nice color. In Cali how is it not having a front plate? Or eventually you will have to get one?

Nah, I don’t have a front plate on my Mercedes either and have been driving like that for a few years. Never had any issues. I believe it would be a $25 fix-it ticket if you were pulled over for that.

It just hurts me to drill holes in the front bumper to put an ugly plate on the front. We’ll see. So far I’ve only heard of friends and co-workers who got a ticket a few years ago. Most of them were actually stopped for a different offense, like speeding but got the fixit ticket on top or instead of it.

I’ve had meter maids write me tickets for this in Palo Alto, Los Altos & San Francisco (x2). No parking violation, just front plate.
I’ve also had a Sunnyvale moto cop shake his head at me speeding by b/c he couldn’t bounce his laser off of my non-existent front plate…. Pick your fine.

I bit the bullet after reading your responses. I’ve put front license plates on the front of my M340i as well as my GLC. Will be doing the same to my M40i.

It’s a small thing, but the red callipers really look great imo
