F97 x3m Mid pipes

What are the differences in the single and dual mid pipes? Some are saying less rasp with the single. Is this the only difference?

I'm looking to purchase one soon and trying to figure out which mid pipe would sound great with the Remus race cat back.

I personally picked up an Active Autowerke Single mid pipe , getting it installed on nov 10, post break in service.
