Thinking of Buying a 2016 X4 3.0L
I currently have a 2013 F30 N26 and need to scale up. I am looking at a 2016 X4 3.0L (22K on it) and was wondering how reliable the engine is. With the N26 we had the top end replaced under warranty but the X4 would not be under warranty. Looking for a little advice!
Thanks for the help! |

The N55B30M0 engine is probably the best 6cyl turbo power plant that BMW has made in recent memory. Rated by many as the the most reliable of the N series engines. Plenty of HP and torque to push the X4 around the bends, and put a smile on your face.
In my current X5 and love it. No worries @ 60K. Going in the shop for plugs and decarbonization shortly. Expect to run it 200K+ miles. For bigger boost and grin, look for used X4 M40i (N55B30T0 - 355HP) - may not be much more $$ than X4 35i - same engine in recent M2. Chef K
