How to register foreign car with TfL?

Has anybody any experience in registering a foreign iX3 with TfL (London) for the Emission Zones?

I have been struggling to register my Dutch iX3 with them but get stuck finding the classification to select.

Any tips?

I had had look and got as far as here https://www.epcplc.com/tfl_registration/register
This is the starting point as far as I can see where you have to set up an account for any payments.
Not gone any further as my car is a UK one

What options do they show ?

The issue is that I can select ICE’s and hybrids on type and make, but not EV’s.
It seems someone “forgot” the existence of EV’s outside of the UK?
Options offer “Euro 4/6” but not “no combustion engine”?

I will call them to see how to solve this riddle. Am sure I am not the first…..

I had a quick google - does this help at all:

https://bookmygarage.com/electric-ve...stion-charge/#

There’s a bit about EEA registered vehicles, it sounds a bit clunky for EV’s…..

Solved the riddle after some phone support! For whom it may concern:

Go to the website of EPC Plc and set up an account.
Register your EV (!) as an ICE with Euro 6 as fuel. After that select as actual fuel “electrical”. (Do not ask me why but this is how it works).
Send a photo of the registration document showing the “fuel” is electricity.
You will get confirmation with a few days indicating the car is accepted as such and not subject to charges in LEZ and ULEZ zones.

Now set up account with Transport for London (TfL) and verify they accept your car for the Congestion Charge Zone, IF (and only then) you want to go to the very center of the city!

Most useful is the entry of LEZ and ULEZ zones (everything inside M25 roughly). I only need it to reach the parking lot of my hotel. Crossing London Bridge was a bucket list item once and is already ticked off

Do you mean London Bridge or Tower Bridge? It is alleged that Robert McCulloch made that mistake in 1968 when he bought London Bridge for $2.5M. He soon realised his mistake!

You can visit Tower Bridge and walk along the walkway between the towers. They also used to do tours of the engine room and bascule (counterweight) room. Well worth a visit if you are in town.

Know it all; lived/worked in London for 18 months. Lived in Southfield, nice place.
Am definitely not planning on driving inside the Congestion Charge Area.

Glad you got that sorted.

If you do ever go into Central (ish) then City Of Westminster allows EV's to park for 4 hours and pay for only 10 mins. DOne it a few times myself with no issues/fines.
