Anyone use the Speed and Red Light camera app in the USA

Just got my 2024 X4M40I 2 days ago. I took the 1 month free trial of the Red Light and Speed Camera as well as The Drive recorder. The drive Camera works well and the set up very easy. The speed camera didn''t show up on my Apps. I tried to download it to no avail. Called the BMW Genius and they had me re-boot the system and I now have the App. I know on a corner near me their are 4 red light cameras for all directions. I just drove through them and nothing happened on my Heads up display. I have the box checked in the set up, and the display set for Head up. Has ANYBODY USED THIS APP SUCESSFULLY IN THE US

Have had it work once on the Maine Turnpike. That's once in 6000 miles of driving.

An I correct in assuming you passed other cameras but the app did not register them?

When I first purchased my X3 I was living in New Orleans which had fixed speed cameras at most School zones around town and the app picked them up and warmed me about them perfectly. Now living in SC where there are no speed cameras so I’ve let the subscription expire.

If it’s like my 5 series you have to enable route information to be displayed in the hud. It should then display. You optionally have the ability for a quiet ding noise as well

Without setting the route information , it shows up in the instrument cluster , arguably more likely to miss

Just answered my own question. Took the car out today to run some errands and found 4 red light cameras in about 30 minutes. They all gave a gong sound and showed up in the heads up display at 1000ft and it counted down to zero as I got closer. I did not have a route programed into the Navi at the time of any of them.

There are so many red light and speed cams in NYC that mine frequently alerts me. The gong sound I think was a recent addition the last few months because I am pretty sure it didn't gong when I got an alert before. I've had it for a while now and the speed cam is worth the $$$ in NYC now that speed cams are 24/7 (used to be just during school hours) and it works really well.
