Here is the updated SIB dated 10/18/2023 which includes the glueing procedure - https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/20...44239-0001.pdf

I have a 2022 (March 2022 build) - seal was first replaced in February 2023 with ~10k miles under warranty. Gap started returning in May 2023 and was back to a 1" gap on the passenger side in February 2024 where I just had it replaced again at ~18k miles under warranty. Dealership called out the updated procedure in the paperwork.

Does this line imply the stated situation may still happen even when glued?

Once the old seal is removed, inspect the glass encapsulation for the old glue.

Just did this myself. $51 part from the dealer. Had to trim a couple mm off one end. Easy to snap in place. Seems slightly thicker than the old but I think it’ll settle in. Whole process took maybe 5 minutes. No glue here.

I just did mine and was wondering if it should sit so high when the sunroof is closed. The old one was flat and basically flush with the other seals.

Are the replacements supposed to have a “bubble” effect?

Also since so that initialization process at the end of the install, my sunshade screen no longer closes/opens with a quick press of the sunroof switch when the roof opens. Please help, lol
The new one starts off like that but doesnt take long to take the new shape and flatten out.

I too have that a little but I do suspect it’ll settle in as the seal conforms to the glass it sits on.

The new seal is coming off the track, i noticed something flapping in the wind overhead and it was the end of the seal. Any suggestions?

finally did my side seals. removal and install took under 5min. silicone lube or spit really made it easy to slide back on.
install is the reverse of removal.
