X3 G01 Reliability advice

Hi guys,

I am an owner of the X1 F48 but very keen to sell it after brief 2 years of ownership.
Owned a few BMW's before the X1 and must admit that the F48 is by far the worst. Truly shamefull car BMW!!! So many VERY costly repairs which should be covered by BMW recalls.
So, in the market for the G01 second hand.

Would like to know what is there to be vary of, at what mileage etc.Is it reasonably reliable car?
I really dont want to jump into another money draining car.

Thank you all

Speaking about the ix3 is has been much more reliable then my previous cars, 2015 3 series and 2018 GLC and A class notably. All I had was issues with those previous cars, engine blow outs and what seemed to be a million other things.

With the ix3 I’ve only had to have a spark plug changed and my front driver seat because it wouldn’t move, both of which were fixed under warranty and currently my rear passenger door won’t open from the inside so no big issues at all and I’ve had it for 3 years/49000k miles.

Exactly my thoughts. Maybe we have been deceived by BMW and have bought petrol cars with good sound insulation. That would explain why they couldn't fit a frunk...

Spark plugs ? On health check video i have learn that on my ix3 exhaust is in very good condition, engine and gearbox have no leaks pointing at front under tray.
Now I'm scared that adblue will need topping up shortly 😂🤣

Mine has been particularly good on adblue as well, I can't remember putting any in at all.

Thanks for your post, made me chuckle.

Can anybody tell me where to fill the AdBlue? It hasn't flashed up a warning message yet, but I would like be prepared. Off to Halfords this afternoon to buy a big can of it.

Well I'm a little disappointed. I went to Halfords bought some adblue, opened the fuel filler hatch, opened the smaller flap under where I plug the cable in and poured a load of adblue in there. Unfortunately most of it went on the floor and what did go in the hole just caused a load of sparks, I think it's a really poor design, so I'm going to the dealers tomorrow to complain and see if they can sort it.

Try one of these - the thin nozzle should allow the adblue to get into the little holes behind the filler flap.

Oh I meant fuse. Hope everyone can get over this traumatic experience of me saying an electric car has spark plugs! Apologies to anyone affected

That's probably down to range anxiety and the cost of charging away from home...
