latest update loses remote start

I have had a couple issues after this latest update. I did not even realize this until I saw someone post on facebook that after the update that auto start no longer works, at least not from the app. when I tried to do it all it does is turn on ventilation. not the car. I called my bmw genius and he showed me how to fix it. you have to back in the car menu and find climate. then find the climate control and recheck the box since it is now unchecked. then use the key fob to lock the car to save it. that worked. I imagine not everyone tries the remote start after the update

This update wiped out a lot of custom setting...

I did the update. It reset the remote start setting in the menus. You have to go back and reenable it. I spent some time going through all the settings to make sure I had everything where I wanted them. My remote start works fine after the menu setting is reenabled. There is another thread on this forum with screen shots if you need them.

I believe that you can expect this to happen after every iDrive update.

The notes that accompanied the update mention that some features (specifically Remote Start) will need to be re-enabled.

I upgraded mine this weekend, and quite a bit of things got reset. I ended up just going thru everything in the iDrive system to check it. But things I recall having to redo: my Android Auto settings, my display settings on the Digital Dash, the remote starting of the car for preconditioning the cabin, & my memory seats 1 & 2 on the door. All these items got reset back to factory default. Also reset my couple of coding changes on video in motion & my lock/unlock chirp volume.

Is this a new update that’s out or is this the 3.2023 that some are just considering new to them?

I got a new version 03/2023.67 which not certain if that is completely new or not.

Correct, I have to enable my wife’s X5 remote start after every update. It’s also stated in the release notes.
