F25 Coding Wishlist & Findings
Wanted to start this thread for pure coding options since others are dedicated for installing software and finding cables, etc.
Here are some items (wishlist) I would like coded on the X3: Gauge Needle Sweep on startup Ambient Footwell Lighting Auto release of Parking Brake without Seatbelt on Sport Steering setting without Perf Control switch Digital Speed display (no HUD) Foglights stay on with Highbeams Remember last heated seat setting (always) Be able to adjust where air flows without taking fan out of automatic Radio to scroll song/artist info on preset screen instead of having to go to station info screen. I know some of these codes are on various cheat sheets but want to verify if they will work on F25 chassis. Please post and findings and your own wishlists so we can find more exciting options! |

I was able to verify the F10 Cheat sheet on the link below works for F25 as well.
http://www.f30post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=696777 I successfully coded the following: Seat Belt gong removed Remote/Comfort open & close mirrors, windows, sunroof. Remote close tailgate Remove disclaimer on startup & PDC Fog lights on with high beams Remember last heated seat setting always Sport Display Digital Speed in gauge cluster Tire Pressure and Temp display I know there are tons more coding options and hopefully they will keep being discovered. Please post here successful F25 codes! |

Did more coding last night and did soft on for welcome lights including fog lights. Like how they soft off also in sequence. Also adjusted when low fuel warning comes on but can't confirm until tank gets empty.
What didn't work on F25 was: Gear Display in Sport mode (still shows DS) Does not remember last heated seat setting (over few hours) |

Fogs on with high beams give you a much better view of the road because you have both near and far bright! Like the old cars that had separate bulbs for low & high beams and kept low beams on with high beams.

Radio coding
OK So I know this one will be very difficult to get a response on, but here goes...
Still new to the coding issue and I am in the process of getting the E-sys and other programs d/l and installed. I too want to "fix" a few things, like the auto start/stop, tailgate closing and DVD motion hack. BUT here is the biggie! I have a new US spec X3 and I live in Germany (work for the Army). I want to change the frequency spacing on the FM radio. My unit is for the US and the spacing is 200khz (I believe), i.e. 101.1 101.3 101.5 etc. In Europe they use 50khz spacing i.e. 101.1 101.15 101.2 101.25 101.3 etc. May radio stations use the "even" frequency numbers (101.2 101.4 101.6 etc) that my radio cannot get (at least very well) I have been told that this can be changed in the coding, but of course, no one in the US has this issue and probably no one even knows where it is coded. So I'll just ask and HOPE that someone might have a clue. (fingers crossed) THANKS for ANY help/support/advice! |

Radio frequencies
Thanks for the assistance
Its certainly worth a look. Kinda odd that "USA" is not listed - but perhaps its the same a Kanada. "ece" COULD be Europe - it kinda fits. Traffic info frequencies are definately different in Europe from the US - that would explain that one. Generally in Europe, the abbreviation LW is for Long Wave bands (below our AM), MW is medium wave (our AM) and KW...?? I have no idea. (SW would be Short Wave - but of course, its not on that list). Many/most aftermarket radios here have the LW band. I have a new Kenwood aftermarket unit in my Passat with that. Will keep looking.... Thanks again!! |

AWESOME!!!!
Even numbered frequencies are what I need! Thanks - I will try to get that to work for me. Also If you want to have a bit of "fun" you might try going into the AM (MW) wave settings and also set to "ece" and see what you get. IF I am right the spacing between the AM radio stations will be 9khz apart rather than 10. If it works correctly you will get frequencies such as 1107, 873 and so forth - rather than 1100, 1110, 1120, 870, 880 etc. In Germany that is how the MW band frequencies are spaced. Anyone know of any auto shops in Staten Island, NY that can code BMWs? I heard of Mobile-Addictions, gonna call them tomorrow, but was wondering if anyone has any additional suggestions?
