Springs are on my short list too. My tint is 15% on the sides and 60 on the windshield.

Are people still having problems with auto dimming displays after tint?

I find the iDrive nav with HUD integration far superior for me though.

I've had a tough time finding a good cell holder. Either they're too flimsy, work loose, or block access to {something}. The CD slot one is worthless, I tried one that grips the AC vent, it was ok but would loosen over time. I'm currently using Universal Magnet Car Mount, which is actually pretty good, except its design limits where you can place it. I've got it on the far left of the dash (left of wheel), where the only thing it blocks is the headlight control (which I never use). And it's easy to move/remove, so that's not an issue.

The ProClip looks very interesting.
I ordered my proclip 3 weeks ago, just got the shipping notification today!

Always had them on my BMW's for years, I'll hopefully hardwire it behind the dash again for charging and music like on my F30:

I had it closed. I am thinking of getting the pano glass tinted as well. my boss just got his brand new x5 tinted including panoramic glass and it looks much better.

Hard to tell but do the fronts look slightly lighter at time? I have read the rears have been measured at ~20% from the factory. I have 20% all around on my 340i and it's too dark at times on rainy/grey days (which is half the year in Seattle)

That's because they are. 30% front and 20% rear (factory)

Rules differ state to state but generally no it's not illegal, however there are regulations on how dark it can be. To be honest though, not that many follow it.

You guys get it so easy over there with no MOT equivalent tests in most states, and seemingly being able to do whatever you want to your cars! Do you even have to declare modifications to your insurance company there?

If you're doing ceramic for the functionality of keeping away heat, you want to do the rears as well (to keep rears same darkness, they recommend 80% tint for rear)

I can't speak for all other states but generally no. Now, some insurances will cover up to a certain $ of modifications only if you disclose them ahead of time but you aren't required to.

Good example - you have aftermarket wheels on your car and they are damaged or stolen. If you didn't claim $4,000 in aftermarket accessories as part of your insurance it's hit or miss whether you will get reimbursed. However, generally speaking they will try to replace it with the cost of OEM parts. I did this once for my E92 M3 that got damaged and instead of paying absurd OEM costs for factory 19" M wheels I had my body shop buy BBS ones instead for the same value.

Installed my 3D Max Spider Floormats VERY nice and snug fit. Tried it with the standard floormat underneath for more cushioning but better fit without on the driver's side. I left the passenger standard mat on and it still fits well ALso some bonus pics of my car that I couldn't help but take.......Can't wait to get my spacers on and do a proper photo shoot!!!

Those grilles just look better and better the further back the photos are, they don’t look huge at all there!

Honestly.....I'm actually a photographer and have been trying to get the right shot to properly show the grills....perhaps on Saturday when I install my spacers (15mm, can't wait....car looks too narrow in my opinion without them) and I'll do a proper photo shoot. The grills look PERFECT. However....if you do have a Phytonic blue M40i....the Ceriums look better.

On my F31 I actually mounted it closer to the steering wheel, which meant blocking some of the control display. It I didn't look that much on that blocked corner, it I miss the close location now, when mounted in the only supported way on G01...

I know what you mean, on photos the black grilles can just look like black holes, whereas in person you can see the reflections on the gloss black.

Hmmm, the cerium has really grown on me, but I already have a set of black grilles coming as soon as my dealer gets stock in, so I'll try them on and see what I think, but I think I will leave them on as I want something different to stock on the exterior.
