transmission fluid flush. to do or not to do?
I own a '07 3.0si AT, 103K. Im aware that BMW claim that the transmission fluid in these models are "life time". But realistically more than likely isn't. So I was wondering whether if anyone has done a transmission flush and notice any changes.

Just changed the ATF fluid, filter, transfer case fluid, front & rear differential fluid.
For ATF you have to observe the correct fluid level - tranny needs to be at 50°C after the first fill, then fill up until it starts to trickle (overflow). Once it's done, one would reset transmission adaptation values & go to through the re-learn process of the tranny as per TIS. For TC you also need to re-program the TC with Rheingold or similar.

Hi All,
Quick question, is there an easy way to read the transmission temperature without a PC? I am planning on a transmission oil change on mine and I am really struggling to get Easy DIS to work on my Win7 machine... it is like it was designed to be hard to install. Thanks, Dan |
