Carbon fiber center console & radio bezel installed

Pulled the piano black center console/gear shifter surround & the trim around the radio buttons and replaced with carbon fiber pieces.

Purchased the pieces off eBay from a vendor named runnstar thanks to a post on this forum. Arrived two weeks ahead of when it was projected, and was great quality. It matches the OEM cf near perfectly. Don't have any pics of the install process because it literally took 5 min for both pieces. Use a plastic trim tool and pry the pieces up, I didn't disconnect any wires on the radio surround, just let it hang for a second. Popped the radio buttons out and snapped them into the new piece.

Looks great and most importantly the wife is happy . The Carbon fiber steering wheel button surround and paddles are on their way, as well as some carbon fiber for the back of the front seats.

Looks like I paid $270 for the center console piece and $205 for the radio bezel/lower dash piece.

Correct. Based on another thread on this forum, my offers were $250 & $190 respectively for the two pieces.

I did, and they accepted the center piece around the radio for $150.

Looks nice but I recall seeing that removing that trim piece around the radio is a hassle.

Looks great, i came across the CF center console trim from a buddy for $250. Piece from the original group buy on the forums, lucked out with that. Put an offer in on the radio trim for $150, lets see if he bites. Hate that they did the silver all over the interior of this truck when all the cars come with majority CF.

Pieces look nice! I wish somebody made a pre LCI console piece NOT in fucking carbon fiber. I have the aluminum weave trim (which I happen to like) so mixing in carbon would look silly. There are a few Ali vendors with alcantara items but its for every vehicle except a 2020 f97. Curse the piano black!!

I have the aluminum trim and got the CF steering wheel trim.

They compliment each other and the CF is not overdone. I like it.

Have to check this thread to see if they make this for the pre-LCI.

Any advice on how to remove the bezel? I always get very nervous about scratching/snapping, and there’s a lot more resistance on the bezel compared to the center counsel piece.
Thank you sir!

I just worked from the bottom with a plastic trim removal tool and gently pulled up/out as I went along.

Look at the new CF piece and note where the clips are and how they work. Then go in there with a plastic trim tool. As I recall, you will end up removing more than just the bezel around the radio. The trim piece just above also needs to come at least partially out. Finally, I disconnected the negative connection to the battery in the trunk since I soon discovered that I ended up long pressing the power button and iDrive was going crazy. YMMV.
