2wd mode

Ok I’m in the process of figuring out how to activate the 2wd mode in the bimmer code. I will post more when I know it works correctly and does what it should let the rear end do what it do.!! So you won’t have to spend $300-400 for the simple coding.

I'm using the bimmerpost app so bear that in mind, but you click reply then the picture icon at the bottom and attach a picture.

Some months ago I talked with henwee on IG, the guy who does the 2wd coding...
He told me that coding is not enought. You have to flash an STG. So I'm not sure if its possible to do it with bimmercode.
But good luck! I hope you are successful because I also would like to have the 2wd Mode for less money

This 2WD mode sure would be nice for big smoky burnouts & fun shenanigans.

You may be right. I pulled out right after I recoded truck and it slid the back end but after that it goes back to being normal. I’m going to keep digging. In bimmer code to see what I can find out and I will post it when it come time.

Oh yes!!!!! My buddy keeps teasing me with his hellcat and how it can do donuts so I want to do one or 6. If you put it in 4wd sport and turn off traction long hold you can bring the rear out pretty far.

The XHP TCU re-flash can easily address this AWD option. For those that have it.

XHP/XDelete doesn't put the 2WD option on the IDrive.

I'm just going to point out that is an X3M in the control screen with the red arrows fully lit behind the rear tires. As a tech entrepreneur and software developer in a previous life, i'm reading in between the lines that... either its a really clever GUI with dynamic graphic rendering that can display any level of front or rear traction based on JSON params, or more likely the 2WD graphic was already prepared (as a video clip) before a board room decided to kill the feature on the F97/F98.

Hmmm... I thought they clearly stated they could add this feature in if it was wanted.
