765M 10" rear on all 4 corners?

Why I'm asking: I bought a 2020 X3M 4 weeks ago, and being in Ontario, I was driving it with 764M 20" wheels and winter tires. A week ago today, I was hit head on by a person not paying attention who turned left into me at the last second. All airbags, coolant & oil leaking, it's totaled. We're ok, just bruises and my wrist has a burn from the airbag going off, my hand must have been going for the horn when it went off. The salvage yard and insurance won't let me swap the summers for the winters due to liability, so insurance is paying extra on the payout for another winter set, plus letting me keep the 21" 765M summers.

I've found another 2020 I'm after, this time a comp, and it doesn't come with winters, and I'll now have two sets of 21" 765M. I'm thinking of just putting 21" winters on the one set instead of buying another 20" set.

If I wanted to put 255 or 265 square winters on the 4 9.5" fronts, and 265 square summers on the 4 10" rears, what would I need to do? I'm assuming I'd need to run 10mm spacers on the front in the summer? What about the winter set?

In order to run 10" wide up front you'll need a minimum of 15mm spacers. The sweet spot is ET23 or lower offsets to clear the suspension.

For reference this is a 20x10 et23 with 275/40 up front to get an idea of how it will sit on the fender side of things.

Yeah I guess I only looked at the offset difference between the 9.5" fronts and 10" rears, and neglected the 1/2" width increase.

Terrible about the accident. Glad you and your passengers are OK.

Thanks. The burn on my wrist is now inflamed/infected a little so I've been putting polysporin and a bandage over it and it's better this morning.

It was shocking, my first accident where airbags went off. 33 years of driving and the only other accident was in 2017 where I was waiting to turn left and someone plowed into the back of me because he was changing lanes into my lane and still looking over his shoulder into his blind spot.. intersection that didn't have a separate left turn lane. Guy was driving a brand new Corolla and it was a writeoff, I was driving a Flex Ecoboost and the trailer hitch took most of it and was only $4k damage.
