x3 m40i remap 0-60 times

Hey Guys,

So I am looking at mid size SUV's ive looked and looked.. woke up in the night looked some more and im pretty set on the BMW x3 m40i

I would be keen to buy it and drive to straight for a remapping/tuning to get the most out of it.

looking online celtic tuning comes up alot and the BHP they give back looks decent too:
https://www.celtictuning.co.uk/servi...e-1#t3-content

I wondered if anyone had remapped the 40i and what sort of times/any feedback after doing it??

The 0-60 time of this would be very intresting!

Much Aprectaied!
Lou

many on here have, myself included. the majority of people use either MHD or BootMod3 as of now for tuning. being in UK I have no idea what you have available to you, but BM3 (bootmod3) is essentially universal since they allow you to flash from your computer or phone. I am going to order dragy soon, so do not have any hard numbers at the moment

Ok I'll look into bootmod3 I'm fairly technical so hopefully should be ok.

If you was to give a rough number on the 0-60 what would it be.

Tease me haha

I have the Burger Motorsports JB4+ and Burger intake.

I also have the Dragy that records the 0-30, 0-60, 1/4, 1/2m, etc...

I live in Denver (5280 ft).

4.38 sec 0-60 is the best of the five runs that I have documented. This is with 91 octane and stage 2 on the JB4+. Oh...and about 60 degrees outside.

I can probably do better. And I expect that 4.2 is very obtainable with practice with 4.1x possible with the right skills and technique. But I am not chasing a better time which will shorten the life of my car.

Paul

I used to run 4.4s stock on all season tires per Draggy. I think on a prepped drag strip with summer tires tou could do a little better.

It's tempting but I think the petrol all round will be more fun?

It will be after the first 60 mph, cause after that diesel isn't going to keep up.
