Appe Car Play Stop Working

After almost a year and a half of using Car Play it has stopped working. Bluetooth has also stopped. When I try to connect either of them my phone says No Internet Connection but my cellular is on and phone has service. Ive restarted my phone and it still doesnt work. I looked on the idrive and could not find any setting I might have changed.

Happened to me too. I believe the ultimate solution was was to delete my phone and reconnect it.

While I'm sure there's a problem with your carplay, you're misdiagnosing the problem. What you're showing is NORMAL.

The iPhone uses bluetooth to initiate a connection to the X3, and the connection is then handed off to wifi. It's important to note that this wifi connection is only used for high-speed communication with the X3 only. This connection cannot be used to communicate to the internet, and that is what your screenshot is naturally showing.

Your iPhone's cellular connection is used to communicate to the internet, and is required for services like apple/google/waze maps, spotify, pandora, etc., etc..

So, in order to use carplay, you need to have bluetooth, wifi, and cellular all enabled and fully functional (VPN apps can sometimes cause problems).

Try rebooting your iPhone and/or unpairing/re-pairing the iPhone with the X3's carplay.
