JB4 Stage two for 2011 N55 F25?
Recently picked up a mint 2011 N55 x3 and I am assessing my options.
Since I'm very happy with running MHD and JB4 on my N54 I was hoping I could go the same route with this x3. Contacted sales@BMS when I realized their site stated that only stage 1 was available for the 2011 N55 X3 and it really killed my hype. Digging through some threads I have seen some people claim that they have gotten the stage 2 on their 2011, but whenever they are asked to clarify they don't answer. It seems that based on the threads, that BMS claims the ECU is not compatible with the E series N55 JB4 module. I want to know if anyone has any definitive answers regarding getting a stage 2 JB4 onto this setup. If not, I will just deal with JB stage 1 + MHD, but if its possible I would certainly rather try to get stage 2 on first and fail before settling for the stage 1. With FBO this should be fun either way. Blessings!

I researched this quite a bit before I pulled the trigger on the BM3 flash, which I highly recommend. They way they got JB4 stage 2 to work on our platform was using the blue tooth option for programming it. It will not communicate by hard wiring due to the canbus differences on the X3.
That being said I have no experience withe JB or MHD. That is the information I picked up from the research I did.

I believe it was an F series not E. I would just reach out to the for conformation. Honestly though with the flash what are you looking to do with the JB4?

Just wanted to stack the JB4 with MHD for maximum results. Planning on going FBO and maybe feeling the PT stage 2 turbo upgrade. btw thanks for jumping in the thread and trying to help me figure this out.

I had Jb4 on my x3. I tried map 1,2 &5 with some e85. This was before MHD was supported. It was not officially supported but it did work via Bluetooth controls on the Jb4 app w bt connect.
Not sure why you would even want Jb4 stacked with Mhd, I have mhd stage 2+ (flash only) and I ditched the Jb4. |

Now doing further research, it may seem like MHD standalone may be the way to go in terms of extracting the most power. I dont know specifically as I looked it up months ago, but my takeaway was that combining JB4 and MHD just gives you the functionality of JB4 in terms of OTF controls but the power delivery was managed my MHD entirely. Is that about right or am I off? Thanks for your input! much appreciated

Update: Latest JB4 available for F25
Just wanted to drop an update here, it seems like BMS has finally released an up to date JB4 that is designed to integrate with the 2011 + F25 X3 w/N55.
Link here: https://burgertuning.com/products/f-...fe284f21&_ss=r Has anyone used this yet?

Also did you go with JB4 with backend flash eventually? I'm running MHD Stage 2 atm, thinking of stacking JB4. |
