My first bmw

Just signed papers for my first BMW. A 2016 BMW X3 2.8i drive with PREMIUM ENHANCED & TECHNOLOGY options. It had 90,000 one owner kms (56000 miles) and is in like new condition. It's my first BMW so I've got some some things to learn, as I do all my own maintemaintenance. Any tips?

Good luck with the car; make sure you have a competent Independent mechanic available for the work you may not be able/willing to take on.

So I noticed today in my driveway, when changing from reverse to drive, , from the time it took me to move my foot from brake to gas pedal, the car rolled ever so slightly backward. What I didn't like is that it dropped itself in Park (from Drive) when that happened. Is that normal?

That likely means you were not at a complete stop when you attempted to shift from reverse to park. See if you can re-create the conditions and the outcome to verify.
