Hi all new member 13 X3 35i MSport
Hi all just quick intro. Recently bought 13 X3 Msport with 88k miles , one owner. Sweet ride , just input on tuning ECU i have friend who does tuning in NYC shop . He mentioned tune for this car and horsepower to be close to 70hp increase. Price $599. How safe is to tune these models?

Do you know what tune he plans to put on it? Something he/his shop made up or something from a company that they happen to be a distributor of? Once you find that out, assuming its from another company, do a search on here and elsewhere to see what people have to say about that particular tune.
I would want to know if the increase in hp is at the crank or at the wheels. And is the increase by that much dependent on any other mods (catless downpipe, intake, etc). And if possible, get a before and after dyno runs to verify how much it changed.
