AFR Ave ~ 14.6 (kinda high?)
Is the AFR high?

Confirmed. M40i fitment is different. ER just emailed me a shipping label for my stock DP.

Well that kinda sucks but at least that's now good to know. Are they going to develop one that fits?

They sure are. Exactly from my factory down pipe. They may even cover my reinstall fee. 👍🏻

They measured at the tailpipe I assume. And since you had a leak that wouldn’t help either. I would say they are fine and prob .5 or so higher then reality.

I don't know what's high what's low. The exhaust leak is fairly insignificant.

BMW runs these new DI engines on the leaner side compared to most. However, they generally run low 14's to high 13's up to redline. Measuring from the tailpipe usually shows about .5 higher than it really is so your not too far off.

I'm not sure where they measured it? I assumed they were plugged in via OBD2.

Here are a couple of graphs.

Looks like I'm right at about 16.5 AFR right when it gets in throttle.

I don't think boost gets over 20.5 PSI.

Based on the excel sheet those numbers are incorrect above.

Also any word for the DP being made more for the X3 M40i?

Based on the CVS file you uploaded, here is the graph of boost vs. RPM

You max PSI is 21.3 @ 5615 - 5696 RPM

I was estimating. Do you think it's at a bad level?

Well since Paradigm is running 6+ psi (map5) over stock (16 psi) with a higher level of AFR, I would say you're probably at least safer then him

I don't think it's a bad level, as mentioned the JB4 on a more aggressive map is running more boost without control of timing and limited fuel control. With that said, I think the actual plot of boost looks less than ideal to me and would explain your rather noticeable dip in power after 5k rpm.

This is awesome!

One thing to note that I found out being curious is that RealOEM lists different PN's for many B58 related engines. For instance, the F22 (2-series), F30 (3-series), G30 (5-series), G01 and G05 (X-series) all have different PN #'s for their downpipes. Which is odd because multiple vendors list that their downpipes to fit 2 series, 3 series, and G series models. Also, it's worth noting for the applicable model the RWD or X-Drive have the same PN. The only thing I can decipher is the new models include a Euro 6 description. I really wonder if mechanically they are the same but have different ratings based on the year of Production.

I'm extremely curious as to what ER says as I can't see many MFG's making X-series downpipes if they are indeed different since it's such a small market of buyers.
