Thank you mines just left the factory, Spartanburg I guess? Hence the question, it'll be the first American built BMW I've had I hope they did a good job!

Not as far as UK orders go anyway. Mine came in the bodywork colour and I had them painted in the BMW Shadowline Trim colour (jet black) and then clear coated.

Only cost me £120 to have them removed, painted, top coated and added back to the car.

Instantly changes the overall look!

US M40i's still come with the horrible cerium grey mirror caps and grilles.

I think the ones they are making now do have the id7 but M versions often get an LCI later/different and it seems that way.

This is probably a market-specific thing. In the US, the 2020 X4 30i and X4 M40i come with iDrive 7, but the X4 M comes with iDrive 6. The X4 M is rumored to get iDrive 7 and the M version of Live Cockpit Pro in 2021.

Based on the pics you posted, you have iDrive 6, which is standard spec on the US 2020 X3. You need the premium package to add iDrive 7 on the X3. That's different than the US 2020 X4 30i and M40i which, as I noted, come standard with iDrive 7.

Hi all,
I've found this thread while trying to feed my recent obsession on the X3 after placing my order last month.

I expect my X3 to be delivered next April and therefore should be a 2020 model.

Having become aware of this update for the MY2020, I promptly emailed my BMW salesman to ask if my car would already be delivered with ID7, although I hadn't any choice concerning the Live Professional Cockpit option. Simply wasn't available when I ordered it.

But for my huge disappointment, his feedback was not favorable. He said that maybe only for January orders this upgrade would be available.
But I wasn't convinced that he knew about this issue.

I still maintain a secret hope that he can be wrong.

Paulo, you don't need to worry. Any X3/X4 produced from September 2019 onwards would have been MY2020. You will get Live Cockpit Professional, as it is a standard option, for U.K. orders anyway. What engine have you picked?

I hope and prey that you are right, even if I didn't choose, because it wasn't available, any extra for the Live Cockpit Display in my order.
I have realized that you can learn a lot more from this forum than asking most vendors.

I've ordered the 20d xLine in a beautiful Phytonic Blue with Cognac Vernasca leather.

What I find strange is that my salesman said that my car would not come with this update (I'm expecting to receive it in April, having ordered mid October).

Is there any confirmation on the correct date for this upgrade/update?

Correct, from prior rumors although that info is now debated. I thought G01 had ID7 now?

Did any of your packages or a stand-alone option mentions instrument cluster? Or any term that could be related? In which part of the world you placed the order (I guess not US, because of the long time for delivery). Does your order somewhere contains any word about screen size of Control display?

That is indeed about X3M and X4M, not about regular X3/X4 models.

The interior picture shows digital cluster pro, which only comes with ID7. That is MY2020 in US terms.
