My dealer has other customer ordered cars that have been stuck in the system for weeks. I have seen two G01's on the road, they may have been dealer stock. It makes one wonder if "ordered" vehicles are being held for a reason or if it is just an issue with CN.

Time to start delivering them by trucks! There have to be other X-class vehicles that can be shipped at the same time to major centres.

To be fair, my dealer has always said mid-January other than the Finance Manager who said she’d request the rush. But given its going to take longer to get my X3 from South Carolina than it took to deliver my MINI from Oxford... it’s kind of whacked, but it is also a bigger and more advanced vehicle.*shrugs*

Spartanburg is supposed to get snow, melting, refreezing and black ice. I wonder how those summer performance tires are going to scare the drivers in the yard waiting to load the X series.

I have not heard anything about X5 and X6 deliveries. If they are also delayed it is a logistics issue. If it is just the X3 then it is either QC or a regulatory issue. In either event BMW Canada does not seem to have anything to share with their dealers.

Well it can't be a logistics thing because there are X3s that have been produced after mine has been produced which are now on the way to the dealer..

Did you order sensetec? Or is that standard?
In the Australian market we’ve been told there’s upward of a 4-6mth wait to order a car with Sensatec due to shortages.
This is probably to leave all the supply for other markets.

Yup, mine's sensatec... maybe that's why?

But it says that my car has already finished production.. which means it's already been built, which I assume would mean the seats would be built in too?

It could be the recall for the Canadian market. I started a thread on that last night. As I understand it, they need to reprogram the car due to an issue with the electronic dashboard not lighting up under some conditions. Not much detail there. When I call my dealer tomorrow I will ask.

I did, but because my car has not been delivered to BMW Canada, it is not in their database.

It says 0 recalls

Hello All,

Past BMW owner. Had a E90 328xi, then a 435xi Coupe. Switch to a Cayman GTS now.

Now I got married and got my wife the x3 3.0. Super exited.

Week 45 Build, order Oct 17, still no car!

Hopefully it comes soon.

We're in the same boat! Just curious, what was your car spec? Was it a X30/ M40?

Did you choose leather or Sensatec?

I got the Cognac interior.

Its a x30i. Black saphire on Cognac. Premium Enhanced, MSport and the 21"

That's about it.

Mine is also a 30i without Ultimate. Went Premium Enhanced with Advanced Driving Package, Adaptive LED, HK Sound System...

Mine's the same as yours without HK Sound.

So it can't be the HK Sound..

Shouldn't be the Adaptive LED or Advanced Driving as I've seen demo/HEA spec cars with both of those..

So I talked to BMW Canada this morning and on their end it's showing that it's still in production. I asked a bit more if there was an expected end date on production and the person I spoke with said it's just December 2018 and that they were "being a bit more vague than they usually are".

I've reached out to my sales rep asking what the code is for my vehicle.

That might be great news for many of us, if your week 49. I would imagine week 48 people are also at 182 or better

Today we finally were able to test drive a carbon black m40i as our dealer got one as a demo.
It had the regular sport seats.
Happy to say that it's a fun car to drive. Plenty of power and the ride is nice and firm on the 21 inch rims and Bridgestone tires.

Then we also test drove an M2 with 6 speed. What a car!!! Really liked it better than an M4 with automatic.
