I ordered a set of these for mine and specified that I had the spare tire option. They seemingly only have the base floor measure measurements for spare tire models. ATM they are suggesting that I provide all the additional measurements or settle for just the bottom mat.

OEM BMW rear cargo mat. I like it. It does move around, which means there is insufficient anti-slip feature. Not a problem, however. It covers the side cargo rails and lash down rings. I have never used lash down rings on any of my half dozen vehicles that had them. Not a problem in my case.

Will post a photo when I figure out this UI.

Just took delivery of my X3 yesterday and I installed the CB liner mentioned above right away. The fit is perfect. The graphite finish looks a good deal darker in person than it does in the pic. I highly recommend Canvasback. This is the 2nd one I have had. I just removed the one I had in my X5 a couple of days ago and the light beige interior looked like new. Worth every penny.

Our '18 M40i does not have a spare tire nor the side mesh pockets/floor rails in the trunk however the Weather Tech website shows the NO spare tire option as having the side mesh pockets and floor rails, so I am confused as to what option I choose. Even though I don't have a spare tire, the image for that liner looks better for our trunk due to indents on each side of the trunk.

The bumper protector is attached via snaps, and rolls up when not in use. A center strip of velcro keeps the protector rolled up. The material seems adequately thick enough against light scratching, but provides no padding against any sort of impact. Sharp edges and points will likely cut and poke holes in this material. I'd also guess that dog toenails will probably shred it over the long term.

Note that the bumper protector causes the hatch edge of the mat to be lower; because of this, any liquid spills will likely leak in that direction. I think that edge is raised maybe 1/4" (ish).

Also note that the raised edge next to the seats further emphasizes that edge when you fold down the seats.

Bottom line: I think the mat is worth it, but I'm not sure about the bumper protector.
I have the same trunk as you (no rails or mesh on walls) yet I do not have a donut/spare tire but feel I still need that liner when I compare to the weather tech website or look at other trunks with the rails/mesh.

Bumping this thread, hoping someone with a Canvas Back liner can answer a question. I just read through all 8 pages and didn't find it. My question is to do with the velcro attachment system of the Canvas Back panels. How do the velcro thingies that hold the mats attach to the car itself? I'm assuming adhesive but no one has said as such that I saw.

If you have the optional side panels, do they attach the same way?

Thanks,

Myron

The canvas back have Velcro stitched on them and the Velcro just locks onto the carpet in the cargo area.

Aha! Thank you chicagofan00. I had hoped this might be the case, which is excellent. Thank you for clarifying.

You're welcome!

I had the canvasback in my Tahoe and got it again for the X3. Absolutely love it and wouldn't buy any other brand at this point.

I had the same question, but as chifan00 said, the carpet used in the X3 just works naturally as the "other piece" of Velcro.

I love my Canvas Back liners. They're easy to install, easy to uninstall if need be (had to once), and they work. I've had more than one incident where they saved my carpet from being damaged.

Here is mine, I ordered it from a company out of the UK. Very easy to install and you can still use the rails.
