Hey guys,

So I've been wanting to do a mirror tap for my radar and I searched all over the forums but couldn't get a clear answer to what wires to tap into. Can someone point me to the right direction?

I know everyone seems to like the mirror tap - I had really good luck hard wiring using a fuse tap down to the intermediate fuse panel in the passenger footwell and then tucking the wire along the pillar, under the headliner, and then around the mirror (I prefer my V1G2 to be up higher to the left of the mirror.

IIRC it is the two outboard wires. It's detailed in the thread below. I installed this on my X3M and G82. Make sure you get the longest mirror tap. I think it's 15cm. Also, using a needle nose pliers to install the wire spades makes it really easy.

The radar doesn't constantly draw power after locking the car right?

No. Sometimes it takes a few minutes, even as much as 7, to shut off, but it does shut off completely. Turns on as soon as the car is woken up like opening a door.
