The buy rate is what the actual rate is that bmw gives. So if the buy rate is 3.9 and you get 4.9 then they are making 1% in what's called reserve. That is the profit they make in financing. The most they can mark it up is 2.5% usually.

With credit unions they can't mark up the rate and credit unions the dealership have lender agreements with is just paid a flat. So you get the same thing you would at the dealership with a credit union as you would going to a CU branch

You end up finding financing? There's a Superman at a nj dealer right now that a customer ordered and then backed away from. Wondering if was a similar situation.

Didn't want to lose the car after 3 months of waiting. Picked mine up after a new application to BMW financial at 3.49% APR. Working on a refi now at 2.26% from a credit union.

3.49% isn't terrible but 2.26% sure does make it look so!

I don't think any more 2022 allocations are going out. I'd highly expect future allocations to be MY23 as the plant starts production in Aug.

I put my order in with no allocation also. Many thought I would get a 2023 build. I'm very happy and looking forward to the 50th M Anniversary Emblems too 👍🚘✅

I have....nobody has them or there are 5 people ahead of me waiting for one. I am the next one up at my dealership but they they just cant get one....they've even tried trading with other dealerships on each allocation and nobody has them to trade. I have heard that a few of the wire bundle components BMW sources out of Ukraine and that has caused some delays but I don't know how accurate that is.

I am in the same situation. I am number 1 waiting for allocation. They did not get an allocation in April and May. I guess my odds should be getting better. They did get other M cars just not X3M and could not get a trade to get one. I saw 2023 production does not start until August, so maybe I could still get a 2022.

It's soooo hard. Find a sales advisor you trust who is recommended by someone you trust. I realize that can be very hard.....
