Salty people that bought '21 should have done their research. We all knew the LCI was coming for '22 so quit acting all surprised lol. Pretty much LCI for any model makes the car better. The people saying the pre-LCI looks better are just trying to justify their purchase and hide their emotions lol.
Sure bud. Looks are subjective but you do you. This LCI is hideous to someone that appreciates classic and not "look at me" styling.
Ughhhh, no X3/4/5/6M looks classic. Depending on who you ask, the last classic BMW was built in the 80's.

Maybe those with the strongest opinions are the smallest, most vocal group. BMW's target market keeps on buying.

Just to sum up the thread for you guys:

People who plan on buying a 2022: "this is a revolution in automotive design! 2021 owners should kill themselves"

2020 and 21 owners: "Worst BMW ever. Moving on to Tesla after this"

"The 2022 BMW X3 M and X4 M feature a standard adaptive M suspension with electronically controlled dampers that ensure both a high level of day-to-day comfort and extremely direct road contact, with limited wheel and body movement. The damping forces are adjusted individually for each wheel at continuously varying levels by means of interior electromagnetically controlled valves."

is this new?

Classic as in smooth and elegant lines. The new direction is as many angles as possible and make it as gaudy as possible.

It may be. I don't recall electromagnetically controlled valves on prior adaptive suspensions.

That's my point. There's nothing smooth or elegant about M SAV's. They are aggressive and angular……this newest being the most modern interpretation of that.

I wonder if I could retrofit the LCI front bumper on my 2020

Edit: never mind that's a pipe dream the intakes are all different lol

Fantastic update. Interior changes address the only weakness previously for me.

I don't believe this is new by any means.

Although this new LCI is nice in some regards I'm personally glad I ordered a 2021 X3MC right before the microchip shortage started affecting new builds.

Don't get me wrong, I do love the lighter M3 & M4 wheels, the new lazer headlights, the increase in TQ & the OTA software upgrades.

But other then those small changes, I think the pre LCI is more attractive machine all around & wish I could retrofit the 2020 ID6 guages in it. To me the pre LCI is much easier on the eyes & the body lines flow much better.

I turned down a 5% off MSRP X4M CP offer a few weeks ago. Had I have been offered 10% I'd still be happy. I'm glad I turned down that now but I suspect there will be better deals on the 2021 now for those that prefer that over the new LCI.

Don't believe so as the current technical guide says this.

Based on this measured data, the M VDP control unit calculates the control commands to be sent to the electromagnetic valves in the shock absorbers for each individual wheel according to the road profile and driving situation. This means that the damping forces will always be applied according to requirements.

There's a video on the LCI release where they say there's more comfort in EDC comfort for long distance driving.

I doubt it. There's no additional incentive for dealers to discount anything right now.
